Why You Can Save Money Buying a New Car

Post By: Robert

For a long time people have been unable to afford buying new Cars, the price of a new car was way over most people’s budgets, so people began buying used vehicles instead of purchasing new ones. The economic downturn has turned things upside down as new Cars are now cheaper to buy than used ones.

The reason for this occurring is because manufacturers have been unable to shift new vehicles so they have had no choice but to slap the price down in order to sell them. On the other end of the scale used Cars have been selling like cakes, so prices have had to be increased.

In the month of March 2009 sales compared to the previous year were down by over 30%. For example, it has been concluded that to buy a new Vauxhall 2008 Corsa 1.0 litre with around 5k miles on the clock it would cost you just over £6k. The newer model of the car would probably end up costing you around £600 less at £6,000.

This turns common knowledge onto its head really as new vehicles should be much more reliable, but they are costing you a lot less to purchase. But professionals do say that this will not last forever, when the economy begins to pick itself up folk will again begin buying new vehicles and the value for used ones will settle down. So while you have a opportunity why not go and sell your second hand car and then go out and purchase a new one, you will probably end up making a little profit too that can be spent towards a holiday or anything else that you may enjoy.

The credit crisis is a nuisance to firms but to the public it has become alot more possible to get greater deals.

Buying Used Cars Online

Post By: Robert

People love to buy used autos online.  There was a time when buying a discount used car was a real hassle.  The experience included slick salesmen with slicked back hair making you feel like you’ve been cheated even after making what seemed to be a decent buy.  But now with the Internet an interested consumer can complete the deal without ever leaving their desk.

There are as many preowned car information sources online as there are outlets to purchase used cars.  Kelly Blue book, for example, gives expected sales prices for autos in various conditions.  This makes evaluating the offer a lot simpler.  MSN autos, even eBay motors also have a lot of valuable tips for used car purchases.  Don’t forget the new car dealers.  They have to do something with the cars people trade in when they buy a new vehicle.  Used cars for sale are often listed by dealers.  Another important resource for used car shopping is the auto mechanic for an inspection.  Regional mechanic listings are available online.  A buyer can even arrange an inspection without having to be present.

Financing is important too.  The price is the most important element of financing, and it’s wiser to save to pay cash for a used car.  But if you must finance the car do it with some information in hand.  Factors such as price, interest rate and even insurance costs can be entered into an online payment calculator that will then tell you the monthly cost.  Do use the calculators as a guide.  Have financing in order before you visit the lot.  Pay cash to the dealer or seller, handle the loan elsewhere.

The world is always moving forward.  Things are easier thanks to technology.  At its heart purchasing used cars online isn’t a lot different than the shady car lot.  Use the tools found on the web.  That way, you’re more likely to be the one smiling when the used car purchase is completed.
